Industries/Municipal & public power
Municipal utilities & public power
Public power buys on a published process and scores on evaluated cost rather than first cost. That suits us: our loss values are guaranteed and quoted so they drop straight into your formula.
Procurement reality
How this segment buys
- Competitive sealed bids or published RFQ/IFB processes, with award criteria stated in the solicitation.
- Evaluated cost rather than first cost — losses are capitalised over the life of the unit and added to price.
- Joint action agencies and purchasing cooperatives often aggregate requirements across several members.
- Funding is frequently unrestricted municipal capital or revenue bonds, which usually leaves imported equipment eligible.
What we bring to it
Where we fit
- Guaranteed no-load and load loss values, backed by liquidated-damages language, so they can be entered into a loss-evaluated formula as firm numbers.
- Routine test certificates per IEEE C57.12.90 issued against each serial number, so the bid documentation stands up at incoming inspection.
- Clause-by-clause response to your standard specification with exceptions listed explicitly, rather than a blanket conformity claim.
- Approximately 8 months from order release, against 2.5 to 4 year domestic quotes for this class.
Before you evaluate us
What to settle first
Confirm the funding source before award. If any part of the programme carries a federal or state domestic-content condition, we are not eligible and would rather establish that before you evaluate us.
Our units are of foreign manufacture and do not qualify as domestic end products. The eligibility checker on the Trade & Compliance page answers this in three questions.
